The famous Attica Owl Tetradrachm are some of the most popular and desirable coins in the ancient coin marketplace. Each tetradrachm coin was hand-struck and no two coins are exactly alike. Great condition. The frame and bezel of the pendant are constructed of 18k yellow (approx 0.750 purity) This gold is not plumb so purity may deviate within accepted FTC limits that govern gold purity. The coin is an authentic tetradrachm made of silver. We are not stating any purity for the coin since ancient coins vary in purity by region. The previous inspection by GIA sadly ended in confusion from the inspectors not understanding the description and not being able to google what a tetradrachm coin was resulting in it being returned. Sadly this seems too common on items that are difficult to authenticate due to poor training or lack of care. Items with coatings are often failed. Items that are mixed metals often don't pass. This leads to a poor customer experience and loss of sales and reputation for the seller. This program is going on a year and still seems to be falling into the same issues as fake jewelry floods the markets from overseas further hurting consumer trust in the ebay marketplace.
